Good morning.
Google contracted 2.5 GW of solar paired with 2.9 GWh of storage at Cypress Creek's Steel River project in Arkansas, taking financial exposure as anchor investor, not just buying green attributes. The supply deal is confirmed. The demand side is not. Watch for the load-side interconnection request in MISO South that follows this announcement. That filing is where the queue pressure shows up and where the campus location becomes clear.
Today's issue runs across all five markets. In ERCOT, GIP and ACS launched Coravel, a 1.7 GW data center platform led by Howard Boville with a 140 MW anchor deal already in DFW. In PJM, NextEra and Dominion formally filed merger applications that would create the largest regulated utility in the world, with a 2027 expected close. In MISO, Michigan's Saline Township capped the Oracle-OpenAI tax abatement, exposing roughly $38 billion of the $43 billion campus to full local tax rates. And the Csquare IPO priced $300 million below target, confirming investors are separating hyperscale AI infrastructure from legacy colocation under AI branding.
